Here are some examples of Allen Bechky Safaris that are ideal for private groups:

Rwanda-Uganda Mountain Gorilla Expedition

Manu Expedition: The Best of Amazonian Wildlife
Nomad's Land, Kenya
Great Zimbabwe!
South Africa Natural History
Kalahari Expedition
Malawi Explorer

Rwanda-Uganda Mountain Gorilla Expedition

The emerald green Virunga Volcanos straddling the Rwanda-Uganda border are among the most beautiful mountains in the world, as well as the stronghold of the celebrated mountain gorilla. Together with Uganda’s Bwindi National Park, this makes the ultimate mountain gorilla safari-but the region offers more than gorillas! It has rainforest chimps and monkeys, stunning Rift Valley scenery and big game viewing at Queen Elizabeth National Park, the Murchison Falls on the Nile, and the greatest collection of birds in Africa.

Lost World of Madagascar
The island of Madagascar is a treasure trove of biological wonders. Eons of physical isolation created a distinctive flora and fauna that make it a paradise for naturalists. Hear the haunting cry of the indri in the rainforests of Perinet; delight in the ring-tailed lemurs of Berenty; snorkel coral gardens at Tuliar; explore the strange vegetation of the Spiny Forest and the enchanting hill forests of Mantady. (Fifteen or more days in-country are recommended.) Inquire about possible scheduled trips in late April or October.

Manu Expedition: The Best of Amazonian Wildlife

The Amazon rainforest is famous for its wildlife-but it is notoriously difficult to see. On this safari, you’ll have your best shot, for there is no better place than Peru’s Manu National Park. On an extended stay, you’ll explore blackwater lagoons and a network of trails, and make use of canopy tree platforms and hidden blinds. This trip is a birder’s delight, but it’s also likely you’ll observe giant otters and tapirs, as well as a dozen species of monkeys and black caiman. An extension to the Pacific coast seabird rookeries at Paracas is available. Best season: September and October.

Nomad's Land, Kenya

Accompanied by a train of camels and a band of colorful Samburu warriors, hike a desert valley between the fabled Ndoto Mountains and the forested Mathews Range of northern Kenya. This is for hardy adventurers who want to see country where only nomads and wildlife roam. Combine all this with time in Kenya's game parks, and you have one of Africa's most extraordinary safaris.

Great Zimbabwe!
A journey through some of Zimbabwe's least visited and most beautiful regions: the scenic Nyanga and Vumba mountains, the Save Valley Conservancy, where you'll track black rhinos on foot, and the historic Matobo Hills and ancient ruins of Great Zimbabwe.

South Africa Natural History
Discover an astounding wealth of flora and fauna in unvisited nature reserves: the desert herds of Kalahari-Gemsbok, the elephants of Addo, the big cats of the Karoo thirstlands, and the fabulous flora of the Cape fynbos. Peak wildflowers in early September!

Kalahari Expedition
Everyone has heard of the Kalahari but few have ever been there. Great desert wildlife plus the big game animals of the Okavango Delta. This trip is ideally done from March till May, when climate and animal migrations are at their best.

Malawi Explorer
Hidden in a long cleft of the Rift Valley, Malawi has long been a backwater for tourism, yet has many beautiful places that are of great interest to keen naturalists. The crystal waters of lake Malawi abound with colorful endemic fish, while the Nyika Plateau is one of the great Afro-alpine wildlife enclaves.
