In August MTS President Kimberly Daley and her family had their first MTS field experience, and they couldn’t have picked a better trip on which to get their feet wet—our signature Middle Fork of the Salmon River rafting journey. After all, it’s not only one of the best rafting destinations in the Lower 48 but it’s also an incomparable family vacation pick. A great balance of exciting (but not daunting) rafting, fun day hikes up side canyons and to sites of Native American and pioneer history, catch-and-release fly fishing, delicious meals, and plenty of leisure time in camp and at natural hot springs along the river make for an active river “glamping” experience that keeps the kids busy and the grown ups relaxed. With two small children and a very active life, that fit Kimberly’s bill quite nicely! We’ve selected a few shots from her trip to give you a hint at what makes the Middle Fork of the Salmon River with MTS such a special trip…enjoy!
