There are few treks as satisfying to serious hikers as England’s classic “Coast-to-Coast” trail, considered by many to be one of the top ten hikes in the world! We asked our local guides for their insights into this incredible hike.
Largely unknown outside of Europe, Corsica is often found at the top of the list of the world’s premiere hiking destinations. And it’s one of the most scenic places on Earth, period. Corsica is a veritable mountain in the sea, a playground of pristine waters, jagged coastal paths, unspoilt forests, deep canyons with emerald waters, alpine lakes and snow-capped peaks. Though there are endless hiking possibilities that criss-cross the small Mediterranean island, it’s the GR20 route that hikers dream of completing.
MTS Adventure Traveler Rob Feakins shares with us his interactive story Walking Above the Clouds, which follows his journey through the Mont Blanc Massif.

In 1911, a Norwegian was first to the South Pole, and in 2006, a fellow countryman nailed history’s longest solo and unresupplied ski journey, 3,000 miles across the South Pole region. Who are these people? When the opportunity arose to visit Oslo and Bergen, and as a passionate, long-time enthusiast of historic exploration, I jumped at the chance to determine why Norway is home to the world’s greatest explorers."
