NBC on Kilimanjaro with MTS!
In November 2008, NBC chose Mountain Travel Sobek to take the TODAY show's Ann Curry up Mount Kilimanjaro! Ann and her team broadcast several reports from their climb to the mountain's glaciers as a part of the series “TODAY Goes to the Ends of the Earth!”
See more video from Ann's journey on Mt. Kilimanjaro including her report on the snows of Mount Kilimanjaro and life at camp, as well an update from the trail and a special birthday celebration. Or read all about it online on allDAY, TODAY's family blog:

OUR KILIMANJARO ADVENTURES
Crowned by eternal snows, Mount Kilimanjaro is an overwhelming presence on the African landscape (it's no wonder the local people call it the "Home of God"). To climb Kilimanjaro and stand on the roof of Africa (and one of the world's seven summits!) is a dream of every adventurer. We've been operating climbs of Kilimanjaro since 1974 - in fact, we were the first company ever to lead commercial treks up the mountain. Today, we have an unparalleled summit success - over 90% of our travelers reach Kilimanjaro's 19,340-foot high summit. Climbing Kilimanjaro is a true Mountain Travel Sobek classic, so read on - for all you've always wanted to know about Africa's highest peak... and much more.
Climb Kilimanjaro: Machame/Western Breach Route
~ As seen on NBC's TODAY show!
Climb Mt. Kilimanjaro via the Machame/Western Breach - an 8-day trek including stunning views of the mountain's southern glaciers from the Barranco Valley. Trip also includes hiking on Mount Meru and a wildlife safari in Ngorongoro Crater. 16 days
Kilimanjaro & Beyond: Rongai Route
Follow the least traveled route to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, and enjoy Africa's remarkable wildlife on safari in Amboseli and the thrill of a foot safari in Tsavo East National Park. Trip ends with a relaxing stay at Kenya's coast. 14 days.
