Looking for a shorter Bhutan trek? This exciting trip combines an in-depth appreciation of the country's cultural attractions with a moderate to strenuous three-day trek along a mountain ridge between the Paro and Haa Valleys of western Bhutan. Our itinerary - exclusive to MTS - offers scenic panoramic vistas of sacred Chomolhari (24,000') and other Himalayan peaks plus views of the valleys themselves.

Best of all, the Haa Valley has only recently been open to travel, and you won't see another soul as you hike our untrodden trails. In addition to trekking in Bhutan, you'll have ample opportunities to witness the country's's rich Buddhist culture, meet its humble people, and enjoy its colorful kaleidoscope of yellow mustard fields, bright red chilies drying on rooftops, neat whitewashed homes tucked away on terraced rice and buckwheat fields, and high passes marked by masses of fluttering prayer flags.

TRIP HIGHLIGHTS

  • 4-day ridge top trek with great Himalayan mountain views!
  • Discover the Haa Valley, only recently opened to outsiders
  • Immerse yourself in Bhutan's rich Buddhist culture and traditions

Check out our Himalaya Feature. Slideshows, stories, facts, and more.
