New for 2008!

Overlooked by travelers for years, Croatia is the new “Pearl of the Mediterranean,” a hiker’s paradise with varied terrain, thick flora, and dozens of historic cultural sites. This journey will take you from the rolling vineyards of the northern reaches to the wooded inland parks to the myriad islands and hidden coves of the sun-drenched Dalmatian islands. Croatia has an extensive national park system and you’ll visit some of the finest, including Plitivice, where a series of 16 lakes dot the floor of a dolomite valley, connected by lush streams and powerful waterfalls. In Croatia the human history is as rich as the scenery, and you’ll have the chance to see it all, from the fourth-century Palace of Diocletian to the early Christian Basilica of Euphrasius, not to mention Zagreb and Dubrovnik, where old-world architecture presides over vibrant modern European culture. Discover Croatia’s hidden corners before everyone else does!
