 Itinerary: Masai Mara & Tsavo East Safari
Days 1-3 - Fly to Nairobi, Kenya. Day 4 - Drive across the Great Rift Valley to the remote Loita Hills in Masai country. Days 5-6 - Walk between villages with Masai guides and enjoy authentic cultural exchanges with a people who have managed to keep their traditions intact despite the onslaught of modern African culture. Days 7-9 - Excellent game viewing in Masai Mara National Reserve, harboring almost every species present in Kenya. Optional game walks. Days 10-12 - Charter flight to Tsavo East National Park. Take hikes and game drives in a wild sector along the Galana River where Mountain Travel Sobek has an exclusive permit. The river is the lifeline of the area and lures all the resident wildlife to its banks to drink, including elephants, oryx, and antelopes. Days 13-14 - Relax in barefoot luxury at Malindi on the Indian Ocean coast, where you can swim, snorkel, bird-watch, or go deep-sea fishing (optional). Days 15-16 - Fly home via Nairobi.
