Save the Tiger!

As featured in the November 11, 2007 edition of the San Francisco Chronicle!

Come face-to-face with Asia's vanishing tigers and learn what you can do to save this beautiful, endangered animal. On this exclusive tour led by Brian Weirum, you'll see what's at stake as you travel into some of India and Nepal's best wildlife parks - the heart of tiger habitat - by elephant, Land Rover, and on foot. You'll search for tigers, learn about the current threat to their survival, and explore what steps can be taken to save this magnificent creature from extinction.

During the last thirteen years of operation the trip has raised more than $165,000 to support anti-poaching and tiger conservation efforts in India and Nepal. MTS donates all profits from this trip to The Fund For The Tiger, a California-based, non-profit public charity dedicated to preventing the tiger from disappearing from the forests and jungles of Asia.

This is a fund raising trip dedicated to saving the tiger. Please include with your final payment a separate tax-deductible contribution by check for $300, payable to The Fund For The Tiger. This is a voluntary donation but of critical importance to the goals of this trip, and Mountain Travel Sobek will match your donation with a contribution of $300 for every participant on the trip.

The Fund For The Tiger is a non-profit public charity based in California that actively works to support tiger conservation efforts in India and Nepal. Mountain Travel Sobek has been donating profits from this trip to the Fund since its inception in 1995. Contributions are tax deductible for income tax purposes.
