Lodge-Based Alaska Adventures
PLAY HARD—REST EASY

Alaska adventures are a rare glimpse into the American wilderness of the past. A time when hardy mountain men and gold prospectors braved the elements and the wildlife to carve out their place in this beautiful, rugged land—and in history.
Luckily for you, a lot has happened since that time. Enjoying the spectacle that is The Great Land no longer requires weeks or months of difficult travel or sleeping in flimsy pup tents and spruce bough lean-to shelters. Today's Alaska tours allow adventurers to bask in the beauty of this last American frontier, and all the active outdoor experiences it offers, with the promise of a warm, comfortable place to lay their heads at the end of the day. What's more, the combination of comfortable lodgings, top notch amenities, and active days make these trips ideal family vacations.
Our lodge-based brand of Alaska travel is the ultimate way to experience the Land of the Midnight Sun. We offer trips in three distinct regions: southeast, south central, and interior Alaska! Each area is unique, but they all have one thing in common: they’re quite unlike anything you’ve ever seen before!
SOUTHEAST ALASKA
Southeast Alaska has more kinds of adventure opportunities per square mile than any other part of Alaska (or even the world!)—from whale watching to bear viewing, glaciers to deepwater ocean fjords, and towering mountains to roaring rivers. This is the ultimate area for Alaska multisport adventures like our “Discover Alaska” trip! Each day is a grand adventure packed with action and delight: sea kayak, float, hike—it’s a jam-packed week of exploration that is sure to delight the entire family!
SOUTH CENTRAL ALASKA
Our “Alaskan Classic” multisport adventure is the ultimate way to experience south central and interior Alaska! You’ll take a tram to the lofty heights of Mount Alyeska and then trek on a glacier, sea kayak past tidewater glaciers in Prince William Sound, go whitewater rafting through the heart of the Alaska Range, take a phenomenally beautiful “flightseeing” trip over the Alaska Range, and enjoy fabulous wildlife viewing in Denali National Park. There’s an adventure here for every appetite, including a dramatic bush plane trip past North America’s highest peak—Denali herself!
After an active day of fun, you’ll relax in a comfortable hotel or lodge, including three nights at Camp Denali, a renowned rustic wilderness lodge deep inside Denali National Park (see description below). You’ll also have time to explore Anchorage, including a ride on the famed Alaska Railroad.
INTERIOR ALASKA
For an incredible wildlife experience, consider our Denali National Park adventure, which includes a stay at Camp Denali, a beautiful natural haven deep in the heart of Denali National Park, where wonderful views of Denali (officially named Mt. McKinley—the highest peak in North America at 20,320 feet) are possible right from your private cabin’s doorstep. Daily activities include hiking the backcountry with expert naturalist-guides, canoeing, mountain biking, and fishing. Each day you can choose which suits you best! Rustic but beautifully-appointed guest cabins have superlative mountain views of Denali, and are a short walk to the historic hand-hewn lodge and informal dining room where sumptuous meals are served. Evening programs presented by staff naturalists and visiting specialists are designed to further acquaint you with the Far North.
