Well, so are we and have been for the past 42 years. Our passion for wildlife adventures and our planet’s beautiful creatures was first inspired by our sailing excursions to the Galápagos Islands in 1970 and our wildlife safaris in Kenya in 1971 (we were the first to offer walking safaris there!). What we discovered back then, and which has been our philosophy ever since, is that the very best way to experience a place, its people and its wildlife is by active participation. That’s why all of our wildlife tours put you right in the heart of the wild, where you can hear, sense and feel their presence.There truly is something inexplicable about getting up close with birds and animals in their natural habitat. Perhaps you know the feeling. A humpback whale breaching the water just feet from your kayak. A giraffe striding gracefully across the sunset in front of your tent. Mountain gorillas conducting a chest beating session just for you. Thousands of Adélie penguins surrounding you, quite literally at the end of the earth. Unbelievable!

And we keep our group size small (our average group size is just 10) to minimize our own impact on habitats and to optimize your wildlife viewing experience.
