Cruise in high style aboard a small cruise ship, while enjoying all the unforgettable wildlife encounters you’d expect from an MTS Galápagos voyage

Do you relish the idea of having close encounters with wildlife but still yearn for the comfort of deluxe accommodations? Then travel with us aboard La Pinta! This 207-foot motor yacht is delightfully decadent with oversized state rooms, multiple sun decks, and a Jacuzzi to boot! It’s also refreshingly relaxed, with a friendly crew of Galápagos National Park-certified guides to enhance your experience in the islands. This is the ultimate jumping off point for an active but comfortable vacation: you can snorkel with a wide array of tropical fish and maybe some Galápagos penguins, paddle a sit-atop kayak through mangrove inlets for an encounter with sea lions and sea turtles, and hike across surreal lava landscapes passing dancing blue-footed boobies, Godzilla-like marine iguanas, and slow-moving sea turtles that might be a century old. You’ll see nature preserves, witness geological evidence of the pervasive volcanic activity that created (and continues to shape) the islands, and enjoy fun adventures at every turn. The best part of all is that each cruise aboard La Pinta offers its own unique itinerary, so you'll get in all the best sites of the Galápagos while traveling in style!

Easy

Many activities are optional and involve fairly easy travel. Trips may include short hikes of two to three hours or optional walks at low elevations. Includes less demanding sea kayaking and river rafting trips with Class I-II rapids.

Moderate

More active trips involving hiking over moderate terrain, usually - but not always - with vehicle support and at elevations less than 10,000 feet, or trips with long hiking days, multiple sea kayaking days, wilderness camping, or other invigorating activity. On many trips, you can elect to skip a day's activity, depending on logistics. Includes more demanding sea kayaking trips and river rafting trips with Class III rapids.

Strenuous

Hiking and trekking over steeper or more rugged terrain or where elevations may exceed 10,000 feet - often several days in a row. Includes more demanding sea kayaking trips (4-5 hours paddling a day) and river rafting trips with Class IV-V rapids.

Ultimate Challenge!

Our most demanding trips: trekking over steep, rugged terrain at high elevations (no vehicle support) or with substantial altitude gains and losses; trips to remote, extreme wilderness; mountaineering trips. Includes our most demanding sea kayaking (5-7 hours paddling a day) and river rafting trips with Class IV-V rapids.
