Day 1: Arrive Nairobi

On arrival at the Jomo Kenya international Airport, you will be met by an MTS representative and given a short safari briefing before being transferred to your hotel for overnight.

The Eka Hotel is a trendy new hotel on the Mombasa Road just 10 minutes from the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. With a vibrant restaurant and excellent service the Eka Hotel location means easy access to the nearest wildlife areas of Kenya as well as Wilson Airport for all domestic flights throughout the country. The hotel has a swimming pool, gym, a ‘Spurs Restaurant’, conference facilities and late check out on request.

Day 2: Lake Naivasha, Crescent Island Walking Safari, & Lake Elementaita

This morning after breakfast, you will depart for Lake Naivasha, where you will enjoy a boat ride to Crescent Island.

Surrounded by water, Crescent Island is accessible by boat and provides an excellent morning of game viewing on foot. The island is one of Kenya’s smaller but most beautiful parks with an abundance of bird and wildlife including herds of gazelle, zebra, wildebeest, waterbuck, buffalo and giraffe. The park is secure as it is patrolled by guides who will be happy to accompany any visitors on guided bush walks around the Island. This is a great way to explore some of Kenya’s wildlife species from up-close.

After a sumptuous lunch on the lush green lawns of Lake Naivasha Country Club, continue your drive to Lake Elementaita, a soda ash lake playing host to tens of thousands of flamingos, located on the famous Great Rift Valley. This small but beautiful lake offers you the chance to relax or choose from a number of optional activities such as bird viewing or a visit to the natural warm spa that flows into the lake.

Sunbird Lodge provides you with comfortable and eco-friendly luxury in a wonderfully picturesque setting that is quiet and uninterrupted. The Lodge overlooks Lake Elementaita and has fabulous bird life. Each private bungalow is fitted with huge glass sliding doors with an impeccable view, large bed and huge shower. The service from the staff is friendly and efficient while the food is fantastic and healthy.

Day 3: Lake Nakuru

Today is an exciting day as you will have the opportunity to witness one of Africa's most spectacular - and endangered - species...the white & black rhino. Lake Nakuru National park offers the largest concentrations of rhino (both black and white) in Kenya. Other species commonly found in the area are waterbuck, Rothschild’s giraffe, giant python, as well as lion and leopard making the odd appearance. A picnic lunch is enjoyed in the park at a lovely picnic site overlooking the lake before returning to Sunbird Lodge in time for sundowners and a well-deserved meal.

Day 4: Hell's Gate National Park

Today, you will depart for Hell’s Gate National Park for an adventure packed morning. Your morning is spent bike riding through the park amongst giraffes, zebras, buffalos and various other plains game.

Located between Lake Naivasha, Mt. Logonot and the Suswa Volcanoes, Hell’s Gate is a tiny park offering a wide array of wildlife, unusual flora and many species of birds. While the park is home to zebra, giraffe, buffalo and warthog, visitors are allowed to hop out of their safari vehicles to get a closer look at the park’s famous geothermal station, hot springs, lower gorge and scenic landscapes on foot or on a bicycle. After a gorge walk, sit down to a picnic lunch before returning to your lodge for an afternoon of leisure relaxing by the pool with a good book, or enjoying the view from the deck of your room. Enjoy a sumptuous dinner before an early night after a great action filled day.

Day 5: Fly to Loita Hills

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airstrip for your flight to the Mara departing at 10:30 AM to arrive at Siana Airstrip at 11:15 AM. You will be met on arrival and transferred to Jan’s camp (approximately 4.5 hours drive with game viewing on route) for lunch, dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Oltyiani Trail

After breakfast the donkey’s are brought and the equipment is packed. Leave around 10.00am, lunch break around 12.30 for an hour and arrive in the camp around 4-5pm. The morning and afternoon walks are both around 3 hours long. Overnight Oltyiani trail camp.

Day 7: Oltyiani Trail

Leave at 9:00am from camp and walk slowly back to Jan’s Camp through the lush Loita Forest.

Day 8: Drive to Masai Mara

From Jan’s Camp you will be transferred out of the Loitas to Speke’s Camp (approximately 5 – 6 hours game driving through the Masai Mara with a packed lunch on route. Arrive in time for afternoon tea and enjoy watching the game which comes right upto the tents at this unique intimate camp.

Days 9-10: Masai Mara

These days you will enjoy game drives and safari activities in the epic Masai Mara.

Day 11: Fly to Nairobi & Depart

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airstrip for your flight back to Nairobi. On arrival at Wilson Airport, you will be transferred to House of Waine where you have day use of a room and lunch. This afternoon, there is the option of visiting the Giraffe Center where you have a unique opportunity to “kiss a giraffe” and then at 5:00 PM, enjoy the magical experience at the David Sheldrick Wildlife trust, where you will get up close to the baby orphaned elephants and have a chance to watch then having their evening milk and getting settled for the night. After this, you will be transferred back to House of Waine to freshen up before being taken to the Talisman restaurant for dinner and on to the international airport for your departure flight home.

Eka Hotel — Nairobi

Eka Hotel is ideally located along Mombasa Road in Nairobi the capital city of Kenya. It is situated minutes away from the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and 5km from Wilson Airport. The hotel rooms offer the very best in comfort, convenience and efficiency.

Jan's Camp — Loita Hills

Located in the Loita Hills, Jan’s Camp is the base for our walking safari. The camp is set on a ridge facing east and looking over the rolling hills of the Loita Naimina Enkyio Forest, the Forest of the Lost Child.

Oltyiani Trail Camp — Loita Hills

Our specialist walking safari guides and staff have spent the last 10 years leading walks through the forest, and MTS takes great pride in setting up light but comfortable camps in some of the remotest parts of the Loita Forest. The camping party will clear the ground. A small thorn kraal (enclosed area) is made for the donkeys and fires are lit, tents set up and the kitchen prepared for your arrival.

Speke's Camp — Masai Mara

Speke’s Camp is a  safari camp on the eastern bank of the Olare Orok River in between the northern boundary of the Maasai Mara National Reserve and the Mara North Conservancy. The land is leased from the resident Maasai people living nearby. Speke’s Camp’s policy is not to build permanent camps within the Reserve in line with the owners’ aim to make a difference for the Maasai people and their own environment.

Sunbird Lodge — Lake Elementaita

Set on 55 acres (22 ha) on private land between Nakuru and Gilgil, Sunbird Lodge is named after one of the more than 450 species of birds in this area. Beautifully nestled in a pristine environment above Lake Elementaita (RAMSAR and World Heritage Site) one can experience amazing sunsets. The lodge is very small and exclusive with 14 very spacious en-suite cottages and with a huge private veranda. All with a king size bed and an additional single bed, exquisitely built with natural materials and thatched roofs. Enjoy an unspoiled view over Lake Elementaita and Soysambu Conservancy.
