Here you’ll embark on an 8-mile hike from Yoho Pass to Emerald Lake Lodge, our accommodation for the night. On the western side of the pass lies one of the best preserved fossil beds in the world, 500-million-year-old Burgess Shale, which you can visit as part of an optional extra in the afternoon.

"Heli-hiking gives you access to remote areas that otherwise it would have taken you a few days of backpacking and access to phenomenal panoramic scenery. Canadian Rockies is in our backyard, no need for many hours of overseas travel! The scenery can rival the Alps!" Elina Szeto
