FAQs

Who will meet me on arrival?

An MT Sobek representative will meet you at the airport at 4:00 p.m. and transfer you to our hotel.

What if the weather is poor? Will we still hike?

Most of our hikes take place within protected environments so weather conditions rarely disrupt them. We will shorten or skip hikes if there are safety concerns.

What is important to pack?

Plan to bring multiple layers to stay warm and dry in variable weather. You might also want to have swimwear, as some hotels will have indoor pools.

Is tap water safe to drink during the trip?

Yes, tap water is safe to drink during the trip. Mineral water will also be provided during transfers and with picnic lunches.

Would you recommend trekking poles?

Yes. Trekking poles will assist with balance over rocky and uneven terrain, as well as alleviate pressure on your joints during ascents and descents.

What is the minimum age for this trip?
The standard minimum age for this trip is 18, but check out our private trip options for families and groups with younger guests.
