This trip allows flexibility according to time and interest, but expect to be active and walking for much of each day. The activities in Grand Teton can be challenging, including a several hour long hike on unstable territory, a technical rock climb, and a white water raft down the Snake River.

Day 1
Upon arrival at Bozeman or Jackson airport, secure your rental car and drive to tonight's accommodation in West Yellowstone.
Accommodation: Canyon Lodge & Cabins
Canyon Lodge and Cabins is located on the east side of Yellowstone National Park near the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone River. The sprawling property offers a variety of accommodations including five new lodge buildings. All room types are modest and provide a true National Park Lodge experience. While there is no television or air conditioning at the property, internet is available in some public spaces. Canyon Village features a variety of dining options as well as the Canyon Visitor Education Center which focuses on Yellowstone's infamous supervolcano.
Day 2
The oldest park in the US National Park system, Yellowstone is famous for its wildlife and geothermal features. Accompanied by a private guide who will tailor the route to your desired activity level, choose to explore the park today on a more strenuous morning hike followed by an afternoon of sightseeing or a full day of sightseeing and light hiking. Stops today may include the geyser basins, the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, and expansive Yellowstone Lake. Along the way, keep an eye out for wildlife- Hayden Valley is one of the best places to see wildlife in the park. After a full day, return to the hotel in the early evening.

Day 3
Leave Yellowstone today and enjoy a scenic drive south along the way to stunning Grand Teton National Park. If time permits, Jackson Lake is well worth exploring. Stop at Colter Bay Marina in Grand Teton National Park to rent a kayak, canoe, or motor boat and set off on the beautiful lake surrounded by spectacular mountain views. The nearby Jackson Lake Lodge is also a great spot for lunch, featuring 60-foot windows offering some of the best views of the Teton Mountain Range. Continue on to the hotel and check in for the evening. Try to turn in early tonight, in preparation for tomorrow's early start.

Rachel is an avid outdoor enthusiast, and her favorite pursuits are hiking, mountain biking, and white-water rafting. When Rachel is not on the road leading adventures she can be found relaxing in Bali, surfing, doing yoga and rejuvenating.
Joel Clark
Never without his old battered hat, given to him by his grandfather, Joel Clark has an addiction to the wide open spaces of the West. He has hiked the Pacific Crest Trail, the Continental Divide Trail, the Appalachian Trail, and charted his own cross-country trek across the Mojave Desert totaling some 8,000 miles. Joel is an experienced guide, leading adventure tours and horse riding expeditions through the canyon lands of Southern Utah for nearly 10 years. When he gets out his guitar around the campfire, bring a handkerchief because you're going to hear some soulful old cowboy songs.
Jen Barnes
Jen, is a North Carolina native and a Florida State University graduate with a degree in anthropology. Jen has taught school in Japan, cleaned fish in Alaska, and toured the entire perimeter of India. She's a music lover, a reader of anything, a fan of superhero movies, a bicyclist, a chili hound, a serious cook, and a woman of letters. But mostly she's a tour guide. She's conducted tours throughout the Southwest, from coast to coast in America, in Alaska, and in Canada. If you make her laugh, she'll be your friend for life.

Though rain is always possible, expect sunny days and cool evenings with daytime highs from the 50s° to 80s°F and evenings dropping the 30s°F.
How close can I get to wild animals in the National Parks?
You should stay at least 100 yards away from bears and wolves and at least 25 yards away from other large mammals.
What kind of physical shape do I need to be in for this trip?
Regular exercise before any outdoors trip will add to your enjoyment, but this trip is geared towards anyone in good health and an active lifestyle.
What wildlife do you typically see?
We often see bison, moose, elk, mule deer, coyotes, trumpeter swans, and bald eagles throughout the year. Each new season brings a wide variety of mammal and birds species and on any given day.
