Following our successful Bay Area community hikes, we’re heading out of town in March for a special 5.6-mile desert hike in Arizona's glorious McDowell Sonoran Preserve. This time we’re tackling the moderately challenging Tom’s Thumb Trail, looking out for wildflowers and a variety of desert critters. Overall, this exciting hike is a great way to get out on the trail with like-minded adventurers in Arizona, and give back to a great local conservation cause, the Audubon Society.
Our Marin headlands hike on Saturday January 28, 2017, was a roaring success, with over 80 hikers from MTS's San Francisco Bay Area travel community joining us on a free hike led by adventure expert John Baston. Thanks to everyone who attended!
Join expert rafting guide and Mountain Travel Sobek's Director of North American Rivers Programs Danilo Bonilla on Thursday February 2, 2017, at 10am PST for a webinar on our popular rafting and kayaking adventures, including the Middle Fork of the Salmon River. We have a rich history on the river—the Sobek side of the family started as a rafting company—and we are pleased to continue this great tradition of leading unforgettable river trips to some of the most remote and beautiful places in North America.
