MT Sobek Experience
The poles are the last two bastions of raw wilderness—massive, icy horizons painted in electric blue. Scarcely habitable by humans, yet teeming with unusual wildlife, this is as remote as Earth gets. Since 1989, when an MT Sobek group included the first Americans to reach the South Pole via ski expedition, we’ve distinguished our polar adventure tours through unique itineraries and our partnerships with the regions’ best operators. Polar Latitudes recruits the world’s leading scientists, naturalists, and environmentalists. Antarctica21 created the unique plane-and-expedition ship travel option. Experience remote, rugged, and untouched landscapes in the company of experts.
Plan Your Trip
Adventures in polar regions are among the most exciting on the planet and our goal is to make it easy to find the perfect itinerary for your skill level. Here’s a handy guide from our trusted team of adventure experts.

Choose Your Adventure
Our polar cruises are generally easy Level 1 & 2 adventures between 8 and 14 days in length. In Antarctica, people most often choose the Fly & Cruise tour, which skips the Drake Passage crossing. Our Arctic adventures cover Norway, Canada and part of northwest Greenland.

Choose Your Style
All of our polar adventures are aboard small and comfortable ice-strengthened vessels, operated by either Polar Latitudes or Antarctica 21. Call us on 800-974-0300 to find out more about these epic polar adventures.

Choose Your Dates
We craft our charters around the best each polar season has to offer. In winter, visit Antarctica during its austral summer, the breeding season for penguins, sea birds, seals, and whales. In summer, head to the Arctic—land of the midnight sun—to seek polar bears, reindeer, walruses, and narwhals.
