Peru Adventure Tours

Peru, the land of Inca legends, inspires wonder in all who visit or dream of exploring it. Follow ancient trails to Machu Picchu, explore its cultural treasures, or escape to the spectacular Cordillera Blanca—home to the highest mountain in Peru.

The MT Sobek Experience

Since 1970, MT Sobek has traveled deep in the heart of the Andes and continues to offer expert-led Peru adventure tours for all activity levels and interests. Our most popular experiences include an award-winning lodge-to-lodge hike along the Salkantay Trail, an ultimate challenge adventure in the Cordillera Blanca, and a cultural journey with scenic day hikes in the Sacred Valley. Along the way, you’ll enjoy an immersive experience as you explore hidden places and meet local people. We also make sure that you eat great food and sleep well in comfortable accommodations, while we take care of the logistics every step of the way.

Expert Guides

Our hiking adventures in Peru are guided by local professional guides, who are highly trained in safety procedures and follow Leave No Trace principles. As well as being fun and friendly, they’ll give you an immersive, insider experience—both on and off the beaten path. Many are so popular that people return to hike with them year after year!

On the Trail

There is nothing better than being out on the trail, feeling the breeze on your face and the rush of a spectacular view. Hiking days generally start early, after breakfast, and cover around 5 to 10 miles per day. Some days may include steep mountain paths, but there are plenty of rest stops on the way—plus a hearty lunch and dinner (per your itinerary).

Choice Accommodations

After an inspiring day of hiking and trekking, recount your tales from the trail and recharge with a delicious dinner. Then, slumber in a range of accommodations that match your chosen adventure—from luxury lodges and boutique hotels to deluxe wilderness camping. We always aim to pick unique and characterful accommodations that make your trip special.
