Adventure Confidently

Adventure Safely, Adventure Confidently

Your health and well-being are a priority while traveling with MT Sobek. We understand that sometimes illness can occur during your adventure, so we’ve compiled helpful guidelines to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable experience.

  • To help protect yourself and others, we encourage you to take preventive steps such as staying hydrated, eating well, washing your hands frequently, and getting plenty of rest before and during your trip.
  • If you start feeling unwell, particularly with flu-like symptoms, we recommend taking care of yourself by resting and avoiding group activities until you feel better.
  • Wearing a mask indoors, distancing yourself when necessary, and practicing good hand hygiene are additional steps you can take at your discretion to safeguard your health and the well-being of your fellow travelers.

While MT Sobek does not enforce mask usage or other health measures, we encourage you to evaluate your personal health needs and make decisions that ensure your comfort. Please remember to bring any items, such as masks, test kits, and other medications that will help you feel secure throughout your journey.

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens if I decide to postpone my trip due to illness?

All MT Sobek guests are subject to the payment and cancellation terms agreed to at the time of reservation. This includes any guest who opts to cancel an operable trip due to COVID-19. Please refer to your invoice for the terms and conditions that apply to your booking. We recommend that all guests purchase travel insurance.

How do I know if my destination has COVID-19 related entry requirements?

We recommend checking with the embassy periodically for the latest updates. Your Adventure Coordinator will provide updates when they send your final details email about 3-4 weeks before departure.

What if someone exhibits flu-like symptoms on my trip?

If anyone exhibits flu-like symptoms on a trip, as a courtesy, we recommend wearing a mask when indoors and in close proximity to your fellow travelers. If you are concerned about another guest’s flu-like symptoms, you may opt to wear a mask or distance yourself as needed. Guests will not be required to test for COVID-19 if they exhibit flu-like symptoms during the trip. MT Sobek will continue to follow any regional requirements.
