We’re seeking a talented individual to support MT Sobek’s Custom Travel programs. The Custom Trips Support Specialist will work closely with the Director or Custom Trips and Custom Team and be responsible for reconfirming all trip components to ensure everyone is aligned with the experience expectations, approving final payments with vendors, and resolving any discrepancies in the final details. You will also create and update product copy in TourCube, focusing on grammar, spelling, and maintaining the MTS voice for client-facing text. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to research activity and hotel needs, sourcing new vendors and products to provide options for our Trip Developers. Finally, you may be tasked with editing content for accuracy.
Position: Custom Trips Support Specialist
Reporting to: Director of Custom Travel
Location: Remote within the U.S.
DUTIES
Reconfirmation: Review all trip components and ensure that everyone is aligned on the experience expectations. Approve final payments with vendors, complete Credit Card Auth forms, and identify any discrepancies in the final details compared to vendor records.
Building Text Copy: Create products in TourCube and update copy as needed, focusing on grammar, spelling, and MTS voice for all client-facing text.
Researching Vendors: Research activity and hotel needs and source new vendors and products, primarily to provide Trip Developers with options.
Editing Content for Accuracy: Double-check State Department requirements for different international destinations served.
Review and Prepare Trip Documents: Review and/or prepare trip documents for guests, including trip planners, final details, departure itineraries, and custom trip proposals.
Communicate with Vendors and Operators: Request approved extra services, send updated rooming lists, and deliver trip participant reports.
Update and Oversee Timeliness of Sales Tools: Update and oversee the timeliness of sales tools, such as itineraries, FAQs, pre-departure and final details, etc.
Review and Distribute Trip Evaluations: Review and distribute trip evaluations to guests.
Proof and Correct Errors: Proof and correct errors in existing trip documents and website trip pages.
Data Entry: Enter data as needed.
GENERAL SKILLS & ABILITIES
Enthusiasm for travel, especially active, outdoor adventure travel
Excellent multi-tasking and prioritization skills
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with clients and colleagues
The ability to accurately correct grammar, spelling and punctuation errors
Solid computer and Internet skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet, CMS, CRM etc.)
An enthusiastic, positive attitude and can-do spirit
PAY TRANSPARENCY
• Pay Type: Seasonal Part-time hourly
• Pay Range: $25 per hour
• Estimated Annual Hours: 20 hours most weeks with possibility of 40 hours a week during summer
