Day 1
Meet your guide at Kalispell airport in time for a group transfer to your hotel. Gather with your guide and fellow adventurers this evening for a welcome orientation and dinner.

Day 2
Embark on your first Glacier hike this morning, soaking in the spectacular scenery on a 4-6 mile hike with moderate elevation gain. This afternoon you will experience Glacier National Park's wild and scenic border river while whitewater rafting on the Middle Fork of the Flathead River, featuring nine sets of rapids. Along the way you will also learn more about the neighboring Bob Marshall Wilderness complex, the flora and fauna of the area, and the river ecology.

Day 3
Spend the day immersed in the beauty of the iconic Many Glacier valley, often referred to as the 'Switzerland of North America.' Soak in the alpine scenery while cruising aboard a wooden boat along Lake Josephine. Then trek to Grinnell Glacier, one of the most spectacular hikes in the park. You will be rewarded with views of glacial lakes and crystalline cascading waterfalls with stunning vistas of the surrounding peaks. At the trail's end, enjoy the view of massive Grinnell Glacier and the milky turquoise Grinnell Lake, which is formed from the glacier's melt, along with two smaller glaciers above Grinnell: Salamander and Gem.

Never without his old battered hat, given to him by his grandfather, Joel Clark has an addiction to the wide open spaces of the West. He has hiked the Pacific Crest Trail, the Continental Divide Trail, the Appalachian Trail, and charted his own cross-country trek across the Mojave Desert totaling some 8,000 miles. Joel is an experienced guide, leading adventure tours and horse riding expeditions through the canyon lands of Southern Utah for nearly 10 years. When he gets out his guitar around the campfire, bring a handkerchief because you're going to hear some soulful old cowboy songs.

Rachel began her guiding career in 1994, and has led trips throughout the US Southwest and the Canadian Rockies for the past 10 years. Rachel is an avid outdoor enthusiast, and her favorite pursuits are hiking, mountain biking, and white-water rafting. When Rachel is not on the road leading adventures she can be found relaxing in Bali, surfing, doing yoga and rejuvenating.
Moderate to strenuous hiking on rocky paths, covering 6 to 9 miles per day at 1,500' to 8,850' elevation. Exciting paddling on Class I to Class III whitewater rapids, fun for beginners and experienced rafters alike.
Modern and historic three-star lodges with comfortable accommodations and excellent amenities in five-star alpine settings.
Expect sunny days in June, July, and August with temps in the 60s to 80s; nighttime temperatures can drop into the 40s. Always be prepared for rain showers.
How close can I get to wild animals in the National Parks?
You should stay at least 100 yards away from bears and wolves and at least 25 yards away from other large mammals.
What kind of physical shape do I need to be in for this trip?
Regular exercise before any outdoors trip will add to your enjoyment, but this trip is geared towards anyone in good health and an active lifestyle.
What wildlife do you typically see?
We often see mountain goats, bighorn sheep, black and grizzly bears, deer, elk, wolves and coyotes. Each new season brings a wide variety of mammal and birds species and on any given day.
