Sergio is a legendary guide, who has led over 400 mountain adventures spanning 40+ years. He first tackled K2 in 1985 and will be back to lead our K2 Base Camp in China in 2020. Esteemed mountain guide Laurent Langoisseur is passionate about The Alps and has been guiding for MT Sobek since 1995. He has hiked the classic Tour du Mont Blanc over 100 times, is especially passionate about the stunning Haute Route, and is also a member of France’s prestigious Compagnie des Guides. Machu Picchu Inn-to-Inn Trek with Manolo Lazo 

Manolo is one of Peru’s most experienced adventure guides and has led treks for over 15 years. He lives in Cusco, is well versed in the rich history of the Andes, and is much-loved by all who travel with him. Trace Inca footsteps with Manolo on our classic Machu Picchu Inn-to-Inn Trek. Summit Kilimanjaro with Elias Msemo

Elias Msemo is a keen outdoorsman who fell in love with the natural beauty of Tanzania at an early age. In addition to being an accomplished climber, he is also a graduate of wildlife studies at the College of African Wildlife Management in Tanzania. Upon his graduation, he decided to pursue a career as a mountain guide and has led over 100 climbs of Kilimanjaro across his 20-year career! Elias says: “I still get a rush when I reach the top of Mount Kilimanjaro. Sharing in the sense of accomplishment inspires my return!”

Save the Tiger with Brian Weirum 

Since 1994, Brian has led our Save the Tiger adventure and has raised nearly $350,000 for tiger conservation in India and Nepal. Join him in March for a thrilling chance to see wild tigers in their natural habitat—and to help save them. We checked in with Brian recently and he shared that there has been a 71% increase in tigers in Madhya Pradesh, thanks to organizations such as the Fund for the Tiger, which help the right people in the right places to combat illegal poaching.

Mont Blanc Family Adventure with Beatrice Mugnier

Beatrice, a native of Chamonix, France comes from a family of mountain climbers and has been guiding professionally in the Alps since 1989. For 2020, Beatrice is energizing a new generation of adventure travelers on our Mont Blanc Family Adventure, following ancient paths through France, Switzerland and Italy. The Tour du Mont Blanc is one of the world’s most iconic loop trails and we believe that there is no better way to experience it than with your family!

Rafting The Middle Fork of the Salmon River with Kevin “Thirsty”McDermott

Escape to the river in summer 2020 with Kevin McDermott, a.k.a. Thirsty, who has been guiding since he was 17 years old! As well as being an MT Sobek river legend, he endears himself to travelers with his expertise, calm demeanor, and sense of humor. In 2020 he’ll be leading rafters on the Middle Fork of the Salmon River, which runs through Idaho’s Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness.

El Camino de Santiago with Erik Perez

Step out to tackle one of the world’s most famous pilgrimages with one of the world’s best guides! Erik was born and raised in the Asturias region of northern Spain and has led more than 40 departures of the El Camino de Santiago, walking over 3,000 miles! What the guests say: “This trip was fabulous!
