Bid farewell to Bandhavgarh National Park and transfer to Kanha National Park. Kanha is one of the largest, most scenic national parks in India with lush sal and bamboo forests, grassy meadows, and ravines that shelter a significant population of rare species such as tigers, leopards, sloth bears, and wild dogs. Kanha meadow, with its hundreds of chital grazing on a carpet of green grass against the backdrop of the majestic sal forest, has been aptly referred to as "the Ngorongoro of India." Kanha is particularly well known for its endangered swamp deer, or hard water barasingha, which now populate the large open tracks of grass amidst the forests of teak and bamboo. After a nature walk by the river behind the lodge, you can get oriented with Kanha, enjoy a cooking class, and learn about tiger conservation.

Beyond rhinos, the park is home to about 35 major mammals, including wild elephants, tigers, leopards, wild boar, swamp deer, water buffalo, and more.
