Nestled in California's Sierra Nevada mountain range is Yosemite National Park, world famous for its thundering waterfalls, sprawling meadows, and dramatic granite peaks. Captured on film by famed photographer Ansel Adams, Yosemite Valley has inspired visitors for over a century. On our six-day hiking adventure, you'll experience its majesty first hand. Stroll among the largest stand of giant sequoias in the valley, then forge into the depths of the park - a landscape of picturesque valleys, sweeping plateaus and granite formations carved by wind, rain, and glacial ice. Evenings are spent at a mountain resort and a historic lodge, the perfect complement to this classic MT Sobek journey.

How should I train for my Yosemite hiking trip?
The best training for hiking is hiking. Work up to hiking similar distances with your daypack loaded with the same weight you will be carrying each day during your trip.
Will we encounter any bears on this trip?
Black bears are the only bear here in Yosemite and they are quite docile. On most trips, you will never see a bear.
Can I drink the water from streams or lakes?
Purified water is available at the lodge. It is important that you do not drink unfiltered water from streams or lakes along the trail. You may need up to two liters each day.
