Hike among the mystical towering spires, hoodoos, and rock formations in Bryce Canyon
Meet up with your group in Las Vegas at 8am. Transfer across the Mojave Desert to the remote North Rim of Grand Canyon National Park, where you'll enjoy your first view of the canyon. Head to your campsite with plenty of daylight left for the guides to teach you how to set up your tent, and end the day with an amazing camp dinner.
Enjoy a full day of exploring the less-visited Grand Canyon North Rim. After breakfast in camp, set out on a nature hike on the Cape Final Trail, with a mix of forest scenery and canyon views. Along the way, the guides will set up a fun art activity for the kids to depict their favorite vista. Tonight, play games around the campfire and enjoy a hearty dinner.
After breakfast, pack up camp and journey to Bryce Canyon National Park. Descend into the natural amphitheater and walk amongst the hoodoos and strange rock formations while learning about the natural forces that created this geologic wonder. Down the road, set up camp at the beautiful Kodachrome Basin State Park.
Hike from camp into Kodachrome Basin, aptly named for the multi-colored rock features. Trek through the park to the lovely Angel's Palace and work up an appetite for lunch. This afternoon, venture down the road for a walk in the family-friendly Willis Creek slot canyon. Watch as the canyon walls come in close and learn how water carved this deep and meandering pathway.
After breakfast, transfer to Zion National Park, the crown jewel of the Utah National Park system. Hike on the Watchman Trail, a classic trek that provides a great introduction to Zion Canyon, taking in the stellar views of the sandstone cliffs and several of Zion's most scenic landmarks. Then, settle into camp inside the park with the red spire of the Watchman rock formation rising above.
Depart early to hop on a shuttle that takes you through Zion Canyon to your trailhead for Angel's Landing. Journey through Refrigerator Canyon and the famous Walter's Wiggles, a series of twenty tight switchbacks, before arriving at one of the highest viewpoints in the park, Scout's Landing. After your hike, take a splash in the Virgin River near the Diversion Dam, a perfect swimming hole for cooling off.
Splash your way up a narrow river slot canyon with colorful sandstone walls on Zion's most popular hike: Virgin River Narrows. This is the narrowest part of Zion Canyon, where hiking becomes wading through a river and the scenery is spectacular. After lunch, depart for Las Vegas and flights home.
